DIY: Give your Ikea furniture new life with fur
Hop on the trend for cozy and cozy details in home décor with this super simple stool.
Furniture upholstered in faux fur spreads a warm atmosphere around them - and then they look real delicious. We will guide you here on how to make your own fur coat.

What you will need:
1. The classic Ikea stool named 'Frosta'
2. Fill. Find fill by clickinghere.
3. A piece of imitation fur that can reach all the way around the sides of the seat. Find faux fur by clicking here.
(You can also use our velboa animal print as you find here.)
4. Painting (if you want to paint the stool's legs, as we have done)
5. Staple gun
6. Hobby glue
7. Scissors. Find quality scissorshere.

Start by cutting a circle of foam rubber the same size as the stool seat. Or use the required amount of filling. The easiest way to do this is to simply use the seat as a template. So wait until you have completed this step. You can easily cut in foam with ordinary scissors, but be patient and careful as it can be difficult to achieve the rounded shape. As I said, we have chosen to paint the legs on my stool to create a clear contrast between the seat and the legs, and if you want to swing a brush too, this is the next thing to do. We have used ordinary acrylic paint, which works fine if the stool is not to be used too much, but acrylic is not as durable as real wood or furniture paint. When your any paint is dry, it's time to screw the legs on the seat according to the instructions provided. When done, glue the foam rubber circle with hobby glue.

Then flip the pallet upside down on your square piece of fur, making sure the fur fabric is facing up against the seat.

Then start by folding the four corners of the fur fabric into the underside of the seat between the stool's legs, making sure the fur is evenly tucked. Use the staple gun to secure the corners. Continue around all edges and try to get the piece of fabric aligned with the legs without sticking it "under" them. Staple anywhere you think is needed - it's better with too many than too few staples.

Then your stool is ready! It works great as a nice decoration detail, footstool or as extra seating at the coffee table.SHARE YOUR PROJECT
