Polyester is a term that covers it subgroup of the even broader chemical term "polymers". Polyester used in clothing issynthetic thermoplastic polymers, in other words plastics. Polyester has super good properties such as both inner layer, middle layer, outer layer and pretty much anything else you can imagine, because it is good not to absorb water. It holds up really well on the heat andthen polyester textiles are extremely quick-drying.Polyester has the property that it can be recycled and givestherefore, the opportunity to produce new polyester clothing quite sustainably. However, polyester poses quite a significant environmental impact if it is not recycled as it is not degraded in nature.
Polyester is simply used for everything: sweat transporting underwear, all kinds of fleece, fiber insulation for clothing and sleeping bags, outer materials - both for clothing, sleeping bags, tents, etc.Light, strong, does not absorb water, and therefore dries quickly, can be used in many types of products. The lightweight, warm polyester materials (fleece and fiber insulation) also give an impressive amount of heat in relation to weight.Polyester is a little rarer inhigh endoutdoor clothing, as polyester is less durable than the more prevalent nylon. Polyester outer layers, on the other hand, will be softer than nylon and dry faster. In addition, polyester can be reused so that it is possible to produce polyester clothing quite sustainably.
Polyester blended with cotton
Polyester is the second most used fiber. In the first place is cotton. Today, polyester is used in all clothing. This fabric is good to clean and can withstand a lot of wear. Polyester is used in admixture with other fibers such as cotton, which is a natural fiber. When you mix these two fibers you build something that is even stronger and more durable. When you mix polyester with cotton you also get a textile with reduced curl tendency.
Polyester fabric wash
Products made of or blended with polyester are very easy to care for and do not tend to shrink when washed. It is a strong fiber with a strength which makes it very useful. Polyester is easy to clean and all these properties make it very useful in, for example, work clothes.
Polyester is washed at 40, 60 or 95 degrees. Of course, reservations are made for use and color selection. Polyester does not have to be ironed but should it occur, then iron at 150 degrees. In addition, polyester can withstand most detergents and liquids, however, stains may occur during chlorine treatment or similar products.
We almost all have one white T-shirt on our shelves but not many use it in polyester which is finally a bit silly as polyester has some cool properties.
