High quality wool

At G&M, we have high quality wool. We have selected a few individual producers in Italy who for several generations have produced fabrics of wool. The good quality of the wool forms the breeding ground for its properties. First of all, wool has a fantastic ability to help the body regulate temperature: Wool can both keep the heat the body produces, but can also protect against overheating in hot weather. Wool also transports moisture away from the body, dries quickly and does not smell so easy when you sweat in it. The key to the impressive properties of wool must be found in the structure of the wool fibers. The outside of the wool fibers has a peel-like structure with a waxy film that is water-repellent, but which water vapor can penetrate. Among other things, it is this surface structure that allows wool to absorb moisture and still feel dry on the outside.

Animal welfare - Free-ranging animals

The animals that develop the best wool (bears, goats, goats, camels, etc.) are liberating and live in their own, with challenging and varied weather conditions. Our wool is from our Italian producers and therefore typically has free-range animals that are cut once a year. Wool should be cut annually to prevent their fur from growing to unhealthy sizes.
